Solar Fan

Pro Home Services

Solar Fans offer energy savings and prevent ventilation and roofing issues.

Did you know that your attic plays a vital role in preserving the health of your roof and home? Attics should be kept at a consistent temperature. Attics that are too hot in summer can skyrocket your energy bills, while unregulated attics can lead to winter roofing problems.

Pro-Home Services expertly installs attic fans that harness sun’s power for automatic, low-maintenance management of your attic’s temperature.

fans that cool your home

Do I Need an Attic Fan?

Attics are out of sight and therefore ignored, yet they are crucial to retaining a comfortable, well-maintained home. Heat accumulates in the top part of your home. Attic fans reduce the temperature considerably through circulation and venting hot, humid indoor air outside while taking cool, drier air into the attic.

Attic fans benefit homeowners year-round. In the Chicago area, summers are getting hotter, so an attic fan is an advantage for cooling the home. In Winter, attic fans regulate the air temperature in the top part of the house, which is important for the health of your roof.

Cool the attic and keep the home more comfortable
Lower energy bills by reducing the need for air conditioning
Circulate air to keep the attic resistant to mold and mildew
Reduce condensation that can cause structural damage
Regulate roof temperature in Winter to melt snow evenly and prevent ice damming

Why a Solar Attic Fan?

While solar attic fans cost more than electric-powered ones, most people consider the advantages of solar power a worthwhile investment.

Free operation, courtesy of the sun
No dangerous wiring in the atticItem
Go green with a renewable source of energy
Fan works hardest when needed most
Potentially qualify for the Illinois Solar Investment Tax Credit (ITC)

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Pro Home Services is better than the Best. Peter is the best contractor I ever did business with. Any time I had questions, he would get back to me very quickly. His siding team did great work. They are friendly and courteous. And they did this in spite of unfavorable conditions. It rained on two of the days. The crew Peter hired to do our gutters did a very professional job. Way better than the original crew and better than the crew who replaced our gutters several years ago

He was honest and did not push a quote to capture anything above what was needed. His crew worked exceptionally hard and did great work. Arrived on time and completed new roof in a day. Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was impressed with this company from start to finish. They were referred to me by a friend who used them for a roof replacement. Their scope of work in their quote was better and made more sense than the other quotes I got from other vendors. In particular they recognized that my attic style does not have intake vents and for that reason recommended adding a solar powered fan instead of ridge vents. They had very competitive prices with 3 options for different shingle types. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for roofing or gutter work.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Not a storm chaser. I chose this contractor after watching their crews replace a neighbor’s roof. Was impressed by the way they protected the property with tarps, and left it clean. They did the same on my house.

They removed the old shingles and replaced them in one day. Price seemed very competitive. Used quality brand name products too.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had 2-3 different leaks resulting in water coming thru our kitchen ceiling. They quickly identified the sources and gave us a very fair repair quote. We hired them and they timely made the repairs. We are very pleased with their work and would hire them again. I recommend this company.
